Seth Balthazar
Seth Balthazar is a philosopher, writer, and poet. His work sits at the intersection of literature, myth, philosophy, and the living currents of the Western esoteric tradition. He is building and expressing the Royal Art: a synthesis of Hermetic, Kabbalistic, Alchemical, theurgic, and Christic wisdom into a unified initiatory path.
He is the scribe of the Astral Library of Light at astrallibrary.com, a living archive of mystical studies and initiatory philosophy, and the voice of Way of the Wizard, an ongoing audio transmission exploring the soul’s alchemical ascent through myth, narrative, and the unfolding of the Great Work. He is the founder of the Order of the Hidden Crown, a modern mystery school and community for those who wish to study and live the Western esoteric tradition as a complete path.
His writing and practice weave together Gnostic Christianity, Arthurian legend, sacred poetry, and operative philosophy into a coherent way of life — the path of the Exiled Prince, oriented toward gnosis, sovereignty, and the restoration of the inner Kingdom.
He is also a musician who plays and sings folk music, gathering and reawakening traditional songs from the folk traditions of the English-speaking world and beyond.

The Astral Library of Light is the comprehensive archive of the Royal Art.
The Library contains the full archive: notes, research, commentary, primary source quotations, original prose, and the developing works of the Opus. It is organized into Thirteen Books spanning every major domain of the tradition, and a collection of Works — the creative projects that distill the Library’s material into distinct forms.
Way of the Wizard
Way of the Wizard is a spoken transmission exploring the Royal Art.
Each episode is a transmission from the Wizard’s Tower, in a journey through the Western initiatory tradition, restored as a living path for the modern seeker.
We explore the work of rebuilding the Temple, seeking the Grail, crafting the Stone, cultivating the Rose-Cross, resurrecting the Christ, and crowning the inner King. These episodes form a living chronicle of the Quest and the Path—each transmission a chapter in the journey toward illumination, liberation, and inner transformation.
Mystery School
In the past there were mystery schools and occult groups that remained secret out of necessity and safety. In today’s age there is no need for secrecy, the mysteries protect themselves by requiring the aspirant to raise themselves up into understanding, to find the Way amidst a world full of distractions.
