The End of Philosophy:
The death and rebirth of philosophy – it’s evolution and metamorphosis
There must be, will be, and currently is a new way of knowing Truth.
This new way will replace philosophy just as philosophy replaced myths as the dominant medium of humanity to explain the unexplainable or yet-to-be-understood. This will take many years, many years for a critical mass of people to embody this consciousness.
It currently has no name because it has few public practitioners, and because the established status quo is stuck in the decayed mental dominant worldview.
Beginnings of philosophy, The Transcendence of the Mythical Consciousness
The beginnings of what the present world calls “philosophy” are from around the 800’s BC. This is the time period called the “Axial Age” in which all across the globe there was an explosion of religious and philosophical thought. This time period marks the beginning of the mind centered, rational world in which we are very recently evolving beyond. This period of the emergence and dominance of philosophy and religion replaced the previous mythic consciousness. At that time the nature of human consciousness, the evolutionary stage of the human being shifted(at least in the small percentage of people who were at the cusp of the wave) from the mythical consciousness to the Intellectual.
Beginnings of True Philosophy, The Transcendence of the Mythical Consciousness
Similarly, we are now at a point in the evolutionary trajectory of spirit/consciousness in matter which transcends the intellectual mode of consciousnesses.
With this evolution of consciousness, this metamorphosis and complete change of being, comes a wholly new way of finding and knowing Truth.
The previous stage of consciousness’ philosophy was one which attempted to know the fundamental nature of reality through thought and reasoning. It was ideas about Truth, rather than Truth – without ideas, concepts, beliefs, etc.
Evidence For The Decay of Philosophy
This way of approaching Truth has died and died years ago. Always before the new can grow the old must decay and die, and the world is seeing the results of the decay of philosophy. It has become irrelevant, undertaken only by university professors who endlessly analyze and compare great thinkers of the past. They become specialists, experts at one tiny fraction of the wholeness and fulness of life.
Irrelevance and Decay of Philosophy is Inevitable, Necessary, and above all had to be
What Is The Nature of This New Approach?
A new “philosophy” must emerge and will emerge, it likely already is emerging. It is knowing truth rather than speculating on truth. Becoming the Truth, rather than mentating about truth.
Jean Gebser discerned 80 years ago that philosophy was on the way out and called his new formulation of what will replace philosophy as the new way humans approach God/Truth/Reality – eteology, or being-in-truth
This new way is the seeing through things to the heart, it is knowing things at their root. Statements about truth are replaced by statements as truth.
Primarily it is self-transformation
Thought and intellectualism can only take one so far, they are useful in understanding appearances, forms, the physical world. In order to understand the mystery of your being, the fundamental nature of reality, — one must become the truth. The mind cannot grasp reality, it exists in the realm of time and thought and experience. Only when the mind is still is it able to reflect the light of truth, be a mirror of God’s thoughts.
A turning around of consciousness back upon its own source, itself. It is turning oneself inside out.
Words fail……..
One must back away from all untruth. We are trying to find that which is unknown and has no paths which lead to it. A place where the mind and the brain, the result of years and years of conditioning, the known – cannot reach. The only way to approach this goal is to walk backwards, to eliminate all that is false leaving nothing but everything.
Humanities Sages and Seers as Beacons
This way of doing things is not actually “new”. There were a few individuals who amazingly transcended the rational structure of consciousness when much of the world was stuck in the mythical. These are the Buddha, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the sages who wrote the Upanishads, and Lao Tzu among others. Their achievement was truly monumental, and many of them were persecuted and killed because what they had to teach was incomprehensible to their contemporaries.
