You can have anything you want.
If only you knew what you want!
If God comes to you,
In a whirlwind, a burning shrub, or in the guise of a person,
And asks you what you want….
What will your answer be?
Will you ask for money?
A car?
A woman or a man?
Eternal youth?
Physical Beauty?
He is always asking – but you have never taken the time to answer!
You have never made the effort to discover your answer.
You aren’t living your answer,
It is not ready on your trembling lips.
If a genie appears before me, granting three wishes
I will remain silent
For earning is intrinsic to the gift
If the devil appears,
I will instead ask his wishes of me!
And if God appears before me,
Granting one wish…
My answer is ceaselessly pouring forth as silent prayer.
You can have anything you want.
If only you knew what you want!
